Gradial raises $35M Series B to bring the agentic marketing platform to every enterprise

How we got to enterprise marketing

Gradial was founded in 2023, shortly after ChatGPT came out. At the time, content creation was all the rage. But as we talked to customers, what they were really saying was something different. It was the execution and operations that they really struggled with, and marketing teams were the prime example.

We kept hearing the same thing from marketers at enterprises. Agents don't actually do the work. They can't handle my operations, my tools, and my handoffs. They can create content, but if you ask me to build a page in my design system I can actually publish, I still need 10+ people involved and it takes 2+ weeks.

We dug into this “content supply chain” and found that 10 different jobs to be done really wasn’t an exaggeration:

  1. Project manager to intake, triage, and route marketing requests
  2. Production designer to build Figma comps
  3. Front end developer to build components when they don’t exist
  4. Copy writer to create on brand content
  5. Digital asset manager / creative who can produce or find the correct imagery
  6. Content authors to build the page in the CMS
  7. QA reviewers to check for accessibility and brand
  8. …and several other approvals, workflows, agencies, and third parties

Marketing teams are drowning in backlog while being asked to do more with less, and it was all due to this operations overload.
