Why we raised a Series C

The enterprise marketing stack was not built for agents. The tooling and services brands have run their marketing with for 20 years were built for a world that moved in months, not minutes. As AI agents become the biggest audience on every channel, and consumers increasingly turn to AI search, the current model is no longer viable.

A campaign that takes a week to imagine takes a quarter to ship, because every page, email, ad, post, variant, and update, has to crawl through agencies, tickets, handoffs, reviews, and tools that were built for a world that moved in monthly cycles. For decades, that was just the cost of operating at enterprise scale. Marketing leaders accepted that most of their team's time, and most of their budget, would go to the machinery of getting work out the door rather than the work itself.

The infrastructure that large organizations built their marketing operations on was never designed for the pace that AI now demands.

Today, we're announcing a $65 million Series C, led by Insight Partners alongside VMG, Madrona, and PruVen, to build on our vision for a system of work for enterprise marketing that enables marketers to move at the speed of AI. Gradial has raised over $110M in the past 16 months, a testament to the rapid growth we’ve seen across our business. Gradial’s ARR has grown by more than 10x over the past 12 months off of a substantial enterprise base. Countless brands have integrated Gradial deeply into core marketing operations and more and more marketers are using Gradial, every day, to go from brief to live in minutes.

"Businesses are entering a period of fundamental transformation as AI reshapes how consumers discover, evaluate, and engage with brands," Teddie Wardi, Managing Director at Insight Partners said. "Enterprises need a new operating model that enables them to move at AI speed and Gradial has built a category-defining platform that combines agentic execution with the infrastructure enterprises need to scale modern marketing operations. We are excited to support the company as they redefine how marketing work gets done.”

The old model of marketing is incompatible with agents

Today, the systems of record and agency handoffs that characterize every marketing operation are a critical bottleneck, and the organizations still running the old playbook are feeling it acutely. AI search is the perfect illustration of the problem.

People are now getting answers directly from LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude instead of scrolling through Google results. When someone searches "best health insurance for small businesses," they don't get a list of links. They get a direct answer, and if your brand isn't in that answer, you aren't in consideration for that person, regardless of how your website ranks.

The challenge is that the AI models shaping those answers update constantly. Staying visible in those models requires publishing and updating content at a pace that enterprise marketing operations simply aren't built to support. A single page update at a Fortune 500 company can take three to four days by the time it clears the agency, the legal review, the compliance check, and the CMS. That timeline doesn't work anymore. It's not a content problem. It's an execution problem, and it's structural. Brands that can solve for this bottleneck with agentic execution stand to gain a compounding advantage, while brands that can’t risk becoming obsolete. Most tools today only solve for content recommendations, not execution.

The Gradial Future Vision: The System of Work for Marketing

An AI native marketing organization needs a system of work purpose built for AI, which has two parts: agents that execute work, and infrastructure that stores context. Gradial delivers both.

Gradial deploys AI agents that run the full marketing operations workflow, from authoring and QA through brand compliance, accessibility, asset tagging, and assembly, plugging into the systems enterprises already use and operating within their existing guidelines, approvals, and processes. When GEO data surfaces that a competitor is outranking you in AI-generated answers, or that key content is missing or underperforming, Gradial doesn't hand back a recommendation. It ships the recommended fix directly. That's the part no one else in the category does. Agentic workflow takes the place of multi-week manual services.

Agentic content infrastructure is the foundation. Agents need context to operate at scale, but too often that context is fragmented in 20+ legacy tools in the enterprise, each with their own clunky UI. Agentic content infrastructure is an agent native architecture that stores brand, content, assets, and process context in pure cloud infrastructure. Cheaper, faster, and more reliable. And most importantly, it allows brands to control their own AI destiny.

Gradial was co-founded 3 years ago by SpaceX engineers building Starlink. Today, companies like AWS, Prudential, T-Mobile, Vanguard, Kaiser Permanente, US Bank, and countless other industry leaders accelerate their marketing operations with Gradial agents. Across that customer base, teams have seen up to 20x efficiency gains, SLA turnaround reduced from 10 days to same-day, and improved engagement and AI search visibility, all while maintaining 100% brand and WCAG compliance. T-Mobile's Senior Director of Digital and Web Operations, Nick Pappas, described it directly: "Gradial is achieving our goal of reducing time to market by 80% plus, opening up valuable capacity to take on significantly more work at scale."

Unlocking the creative potential of every marketer in the world

Marketing is fundamentally the business of human connection. It’s how brands interact with the world, and in the new world, brand is everything.

Enterprise marketing technology is being rebuilt from the ground up. The organizations that get the infrastructure right now will execute faster, respond to market shifts more quickly, and compound those advantages over time. The ones still running on systems built for a pre-AI world will keep absorbing the costs of that mismatch: in headcount, in missed windows, and in visibility they're losing to competitors who can move faster.

Marketing will decide the future of every company. Gradial is building to ensure every marketer has an opportunity to define that future with their creativity.
